Notes on New Mexico

  • VOTES MISSING for all three districts. The New Mexico SOS results site (electionresults.sos.nm.gov, every path including default.aspx?eid=...) returned 'Error 403 - Forbidden / The requested URL was rejected' (F5 firewall) to curl, WebFetch and a full browser session. The alternate hosts linked from sos.nm.gov (electionresults.sos.state.nm.us, nmresults.azurewebsites.net) did not resolve. electionstats.sos.nm.gov has only certified historical results, and New Mexico is not on Clarity or Enhanced Voting.
  • Not used: Ballotpedia shows NM House vote totals, but its sources are the New York Times and Decision Desk HQ, which this project prohibits. Wikipedia has no 2026 vote totals.
  • Candidates come from Wikipedia's candidate list and NBC's results page (secondary). Votes are null and dataStatus is 'missing'. These seats add zero votes until official counts are collected.
  • Calls: NBC News' New Mexico House summary shows all three seats won by Democrats, and 270toWin's Nov 4 uncalled-race list has no New Mexico race. No specific AP call article was found.
  • Recheck 2026-11-05: SOS site still 403 to curl with browser UA; Wikipedia general-election result boxes for all three districts still have blank vote fields. Seats remain missing.
  • Seats NM-01–NM-03: vote counts from CNN's results page (media tally) because the state's official results were unavailable when collected.
  • Refresh 2026-11-05T17:35:47Z: replaced with CNN's media tally because it had counted more votes than the previous source: NM-01 (280,562 -> 281,949), NM-02 (209,763 -> 210,107), NM-03 (227,620 -> 227,622).
