Notes on Georgia
- Votes are from the Georgia Secretary of State's 'Total Votes Excel' report (https://results.sos.ga.gov/cdn/results/09378a07-e6cf-4f66-be7c-ca4aa534f99a/Total%20Votes%20Results_689082f3-8c71-4653-b2a6-b0dc6e220fdd.xlsx), sheet 'Total Votes', rows 'US House of Representatives - District N'. Results are unofficial (isOfficialResults=false); the election feed was last updated 2026-11-04T17:13Z (asOf), published 2026-11-04T19:39Z.
- All 159 counties report Election Day, Advance Voting and Absentee-by-Mail as 'election night complete' (one county 'fully reported'); 12 counties had not yet reported provisional ballots. The source gives no per-district percent reporting, so pctReporting is null.
- Every district had exactly two candidates (one R, one D); no write-in totals are listed. Georgia requires a majority, but with two candidates no runoff is required in any district.
- Incumbency taken from the '(I)' marker on the SOS ballot names. GA-14's Clay Fuller is marked incumbent (seated after the 2026 special election).
- Race calls: NBC News Decision Desk projections as shown on nbcnews.com's Georgia House results page (all 14 districts marked called; state tally 9 R, 5 D).
- Verification (2026-11-05, 14:09-14:19Z): all 28 candidate totals were re-checked against the SOS JSON export (createdAt 2026-11-04T19:39Z) and matched. The SOS election feed still reports asOf 2026-11-04T17:13Z, so nothing newer is available from the state.
- Discrepancy, for information only: NBC News (AP data) shows higher counts than the SOS for GA-5 (Williams 274,618, Salvesen 29,843) and GA-6 (McBath 263,795, Martin 62,334). This probably reflects late county reporting that the SOS feed has not yet included. The file keeps the official SOS figures. The original collectedAt/fetchedAt values were later than the time the file was written, so they were replaced with the verification fetch times.
